Vengeance Bluechip wins at Tioga Downs!
NICHOLS, N.Y. (August 30, 2026) — Vengeance Bluechip took charge early at Tioga Downs. Sent off the 1.33-1 favorite in an $11,500 pace for non-winners of $10,001 in their last four starts, the 5-year-old gelding, trained by Joe Pavia Jr. and driven by Matt Kakaley, led from the half and won by 1¾ lengths in 1:50.1.
Starting from post 2, he was third, 2½ lengths off the pace, at the first quarter (28.3), then took the lead by 1¾ lengths at the half (56.0). He held it at the three-quarters (1:23.0), was 2½ lengths clear at the stretch call, and won by 1¾, with a last quarter of 27.1.
Lusaka N was second in 1:50.3, with Up The Creek third in 1:51.1. Vengeance Bluechip paid $4.66 to win, and the $2 exacta (2-5) returned $9.74.
