Huntrix winning her qualifier at Pocono Downs!
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (June 17, 2026) — Huntrix made a winning start to her career. The 2-year-old filly by Huntsville out of Ubettergo Go, trained by Joe Pavia Jr. and driven by Ridge Warren, led from start to finish to win a qualifying race for 2-year-old pacing fillies at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania by a neck in 1:57.2.
Starting from post 4, she was on top by 1¼ lengths at the first quarter (30.3), the half (1:01.1) and the three-quarters (1:29.1), and a half-length clear at the stretch call. Country Money pressed her the whole way and was beaten only a neck, also timed in 1:57.2. Huntrix paced her last quarter in 28.1.
Fendilicious was third in 1:57.4. There is no wagering on qualifiers, so there were no odds or payouts, and no purse was offered.
Huntrix, a daughter of Art Major’s mare Ubettergo Go, was bred by Concord Stud Farm LLC and Birnam Wood Farms. She is owned by Steven Held, Vincent Ferriero Jr., Todd Frocione and Pint Size Racing LLC.
