Training in the Pavia Stable

We have just shipped north from our winter training base in Pompano Beach Florida to our summer racing venue at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsyvania. We currently have 29 horses in the stable, 24 race horses and 5 two year olds in training. The racing schedule runs from March 23rd through November 13th. Pocono Downs offers my horses and owners the best opportunity to race for great purses over one of the best race track surfaces in the country. The new Casino adjacent to the race track is first class and a must see for all horse racing enthusiasts. Pocono Downs has fast become one of the up and coming race tracks in the country averaging $160,000 in purses per night. It has some of the best drivers and horses in the country racing here on a daily basis. Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs is hosting the entire Breeders Crown card in 2010.

Pompano Park gives us a nice place to train and race through the harsh winter months up north. We have the luxury of great weather everyday to train our 2 year olds and train back our 3 year olds. It also gives us a great environment to regroup our aged horses and freshen them up before we head back north to race at the slot enriched purses at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs in Pennsylvania.
